Come out to *Monument Rock, during the New Moon, and point your camera to the skies.

This Event is meant for the beginning photographer that wants to explore low light photography.

Prior to shooting, we will briefly discuss things to consider when attempting night photography such as lighting, tripod use, shutter speed, f-stop, ISO settings and dark sky areas and why they are nice/important.

Keep in mind, this is local area and not a dark sky area, by design.

- WHAT TO BRING

- Jacket

- Headlamp w/fresh batteries or a spare set

- Tripod

- DSLR w/extra battery if possible

- WHAT IS RECOMMENDED TO BRING

- Wide angle lens (smaller millimeter the batter)

- Headlamp with red LED setting

- Intervalometer

*We will initially meet-up at Dirty Woman Park (Google Maps will find it) and promptly leave for Monument Rock at 6pm.
