Bring your camera (any type works!) and a sturdy tripod.
A wide-angle or a telephoto lens is ideal for capturing the moon against the landscape. I use a telephoto 95% of the time.
Don’t forget spare batteries and memory cards!

Expect to be roadside on a gravel road. There may be some mud from recent snow events. It’s going to be cold! Dress appropriately!
Sunrise Location: Expect more snow
Specific Workshop Details:
December 5th Moonset / Sunrise Workshop
This workshop will attempt to shoot the setting moon to the N.E. and then spin to the S.W. and shoot a sunrise reflecting off of a distant Pikes Peak.
We will shoot from the side of a gravel road near our vehicles.
Please bring a coat, gloves, a hat, and maybe a coffee to sip on. A headlamp shouldn’t be necessary.
Due to recent snow, expect some mud along our walk/shooting location.
