Social Distance

The Image
A lone tree stands small beneath the Milky Way towering above.

The image is entitled “Social Distance” both due to the composition having a single tree all on its own and due to the current environment around the world during the timeframe that this image was photographed; the Covid-19 worldwide pandemic.

I’ve had this image in my head for a long time. Finally, I was able to make it an actual physical image! The Milky Way is very large, covering the sky from horizon to horizon. This image is comprised of eight individual images combined into one. After a long drive out into the plains of Colorado, and one cold night of photography, this is the final result.  A billion+ stars and one lone tree.

Good times!

Note: This is an early morning image and much of it is dark. Please see the notes on lighting below. For lighting tips, see here.

Legal
The photographer reserves the right to reproduce this image for use in greeting cards, calendars, books, and for any other promotional purposes. These reproductions are not considered originals but may augment the value of your original. Refunds are only offered if the print is damaged on arrival and reported no later than 4 days after delivery. Although every effort has been made to ensure the measurements are correct, this is not guaranteed as each print is individually made and some may be hand cut. You may be charged customs duties and taxes for this print.

Lighting
Your print deserves to be well lit and would love to find a home in an area of the house where it can be the center of attention with plenty of natural light or light specifically directed at your print. An LED bulb with a color temperature between 2700-4000K is recommended. Note: 2700K-3000K is preferred for bedrooms, living rooms, and dining rooms. 3000K-4000K is preferred for kitchens, offices, and workspaces. Enjoy!

All limited edition prints are supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
